0.0: Oilers had two golden chances to score off the draw, including a wrist shot from the left circle by Ethan Bear but Jonathan Quick came up big for the Kings. Shots after 40 minutes were 25-19 for L.A.

8.2: Benning was upended in the Oilers zone by Tyler Toffoli, giving Edmonton its first man advantage of the night.

6:38: Shots now 22-18 for the Kings.

12:00: Kings took the lead in shots for the first time since the game’s opening two minutes at 16-15.

15:52: McDavid scored his second of the game, wristing a shot from the left circle past Quick to make it a 3-1 Oilers lead. With that goal, McDavid now leads the NHL in scoring with 96 points. | EDM 3, LA 1
