6:16: Shorthanded, McDavid and Drake Caggiula skated in on a two-on-one with McDavid feeding Caggiula but the sophomore’s shot going high over the net.

7:39: Jujhar Khaira got called for hooking in front of the Oilers net, putting the Lightning power play back on the attack.

12:12: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins used his speed to push the puck up ice and create a partial breakaway for himself while shorthanded. His backhand attempt was stopped by Domingue, however.

13:09: Ryan Strome tripped up Tyler Johnson and received two minutes for tripping, giving the game’s first power play to the Lightning.

16:57: Shots on goal three minutes into the game were 4-2 for Tampa Bay.

19:46: It only took the Oilers 14 seconds to get on the board. The puck was dumped into the Lightning zone where Tampa Bay netminder Louis Domingue stopped it, but Ty Rattie hustled to the corner to grab the puck and banked it off Domingue as the Lightning stopper was trying to scramble back in position. | EDM 1, TB 0
