1:15: Milan Lucic fired on net on a two-on-one. His shot was stopped but the rebound went out to Strome who had an open look at the net but the puck hopped over his stick.
4:48: With nine seconds left in the penalty, Tampa Bay struck off the draw to tie the game. Victor Hedman blasted a shot from the point that blew past Al Montoya to make it 1-1. | EDM 1, TB 1
6:16: Shorthanded, McDavid and Drake Caggiula skated in on a two-on-one with McDavid feeding Caggiula but the sophomore’s shot going high over the net.
7:39: Jujhar Khaira got called for hooking in front of the Oilers net, putting the Lightning power play back on the attack.
12:12: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins used his speed to push the puck up ice and create a partial breakaway for himself while shorthanded. His backhand attempt was stopped by Domingue, however.
13:09: Ryan Strome tripped up Tyler Johnson and received two minutes for tripping, giving the game’s first power play to the Lightning.
16:57: Shots on goal three minutes into the game were 4-2 for Tampa Bay.
