5:25: Magnus Paajarvi heads to the box, setting up an Oilers man advantage. Shots 7-6 for Edmonton with just over five minutes to play in the first.

7:40: Kassian’s masterful penalty kill continues. He gets in behind the Blues defence but just misses the net on his backhand deke attempt.

9:01: Another skirmish breaks out between the two teams. The extra penalty once again goes to the Oilers as Eric Gryba gets the extra two minutes.

9:13: Kassian levels Dunn at the Blues blueline while aggressively forechecking on the penalty kill.

11:20: The two sides do some pushing and shoving in the corner as things get heated. The extra two minutes goes to Adam Larsson who got everything started with a check to the head on Joel Edmundson.

14:42: Vince Dunn gets two minutes for holding, resulting in the Oilers getting the first power play on the night.
