THIRD PERIOD

00.00: Oilers defeat the Jets 3-0!

1:19: Oii add another! Gambardella makes it 3-0.

2:27: Jets call a timeout.

9:50: Polei gets chippy with Luke Green and gets called for cross-checking. Oilers down a man again.

<11:29: Skinner not giving the Jets anything. He eats a point shot while the Oil remain down a man.

12:07: Ethan Bear gets called for tripping as he skated through the neutral zone. Jets to the power play.

16:47: DiGiacinto charges Koch and rough stuff ensues. He goes to the box for charging and the Oilers get a power play.

20:00: The third period has begun.

SECOND PERIOD

00.00: Winnipeg musters some energy and plenty of scoring opportunities but Skinner and the Oilers prevail. Shots in the second are 9-9 but Edmonton leads overall 24-19. Oilers will take a two-goal lead into the final period.

21.7: Francis Beauvillier is called for high-sticking and the Oilers get another man-advantage to open the following period.

1:21: Koch slaps a shot from the right point towards Phillips looking for a redirection but the Jets goaltender swallows the puck.

3:34: Shots are 22-19 Edmonton.

8:52: Oilers add another! Chad Butcher, who scored two goals against Calgary on Friday, is awarded a fortunate bounce in front of the Jets’ net that he is able to deposit past Phillips. Assists go to Joe Gambardella and Maksimov. | EDM 2, WPG 0

12:27: Jets outshooting the Oilers 8-3 in the second period. In total, the shots are deadlocked at 18.

14:42: The Jets generate numerous scoring attempts on the power play, stemming from point shots and scrums but Skinner shuts the door and the Oilers kill the penalty.

17:18 Koch gets called for interference. Oilers to the penalty kill for the first time tonight.

18:05: Skinner standing tall early in the second. A point shot squeaked past him but was able to snare it before any harm was done.

20:00: The second period is under way.

FIRST PERIOD

OO.OO: Cristiano DiGiacinto takes a late penalty, giving the Oilers 1:38 of power play time to open the second period. The first period ends with the Oilers up 1-0 and outshooting the Jets 15-10.

2:20: Kristian Reichel hits Koch in the corner of the Oilers zone and the Plexiglass pops out. Quick repairs needed.

3:14: Skinner spits out a Jansen Harkins wrister as he barreled down on the right side, then Oilers forward Trey Fix-Wolansky was stopped by Phillips at the other end.

9:54: Stuart Skinner absolutely robs Skyler McKenzie on the doorstep with his glove. Save of the tournament so far.

13:10: Oilers score first! Luke Coleman steers a loose puck in front of the net through the wickets of Phillips. Brandon Saigeon and Davis Koch get the assists. | EDM 1, WPG 0

14:00: Kirill Maksimov almost opens the scoring for the Oilers. He ripped a shot from the left side that bounced off Jets goaltender Jamie Phillips chest protector, then followed up the rebound but the puck hit the side of the net. Oilers outshooting the Jets 6-1.

18:01: Oilers rookies come out playing the body. Evan Polei makes two big hits in the Jets’ defensive zone.

20:00: Tonight’s game has begun.
