13:03: Perry gets the puck in front of the Oilers net then out-waits Talbot to tuck one past him and end the game. Ducks take a 3-2 series lead back to Edmonton. Game 6 goes Sunday at 5:00 PM MDT. | ANA 4, EDM 3 (2OT)

14:03: Getzlaf’s rip from the point goes wide then Klefbom’s does the same at the other end of the ice.

17:05: Draisaitl’s wrist shot catches Getzlaf’s foot and deflects out of play.

20:00: The double overtime period is under way.

OVERTIME

00:00: This game is off to double overtime. Anaheim had 14 shots to Edmonton’s nine in the first overtime frame. The Ducks lead the shot department 58-38.

4:04: The Oilers get called for too many men. They’ll look to kill their fourth penalty of the night.

5:14: Chances shared at both ends of the ice as the pace turns up.

10:06: Nugent-Hopkins, Eberle and Pouliot follow it up with a good shift of their own as they force the Ducks to ice the puck.

11:27: The Oilers return with some pressure of their own. Caggiula, McDavid and Maroon have a good shift around the Ducks’ net.

14:09: Manson’s shot squeezes through Talbot but Russell is there to save the day.

14:31: Talbot flashes the leather with a glove save on Logan Shaw.

17:23: Lots of whistles early in the extra period.

20:00: Overtime has begun.

THIRD PERIOD

00:00: Game 5 is off to overtime.

15.0: The Ducks have completed the comeback with 15 seconds remaining in the game. With a mess in front of the net, Rakell sweeps the puck and it goes in. | EDM 3, ANA 3.

2:41: Ducks add another one just 35 seconds later. Fowler’s seeing-eye wrister from the point beats Talbot. Edmonton’s lead is now down to one goal. | EDM 3, ANA 2

3:18: With the extra attacker out, the Ducks score. Draisaitl blocks one Getzlaf slap shot, then gets up to block a second that ended up being redirected into the Oilers net. Getzlaf with his eighth of the playoffs. | EDM 3, ANA 1

7:19: Nurse’s shot troubles Gibson but he recovers to get a whistle.

9:16: Oilers getting outshot 14-5 in the third period but are still on top thanks to Talbot’s 36 saves.

10:04: Madness in the Oilers crease with bodies abound but the puck stays out. Oilers holding on to their three-goal lead.

15:09: Draisaitl gets called for holding Corey Perry. Oilers shorthanded for the third time tonight.

16:02: Klefbom’s point shot goes out of play. Anaheim is out-shooting Edmonton 28-21 but the Oilers still lead 3-0.

17:31: Talbot standing tall still. He swallows Shea Theodore’s wrist shot early in the third frame.

20:00: The third period of Game 5 has begun.

SECOND PERIOD

00:00: The Oilers get a huge three-goal period in the middle frame. Talbot makes nine saves to bring his total to 22 after 40 minutes.

2:00: Talbot keeping the door closed. He gloves a Brandon Montour slapper from the point to keep the Oil up by three.

7:32: MAKE IT THREE! Drake Caggiula rips his second in two games with a one-timer from McDavid on a 3-on-1 to give the Oilers a three-goal lead. McDavid registers the only helper for his second point of the night. | EDM 3, ANA 0

8:58: Zack Kassian drops the mitts with Ritchie. Both players get five-minute fighting majors.

9:15: Josh Manson’s wrist shot from the blueline is tipped in front by Ritchie. The puck goes in but the goal is waived off immediately. Still 2-0 Edmonton.

14:14: Oilers buzzing around the Ducks’ zone. Benning releases a point shot that is tipped by Draisaitl but Gibson makes the stop.

17:03: MCDAVID OUT OF MID-AIR! Letestu sauces the puck to McDavid on the right side of the Ducks’ net to bat it in behind Gibson. That’s McDavid’s fifth goal of the playoffs. Letestu registers his fourth assist and seventh point of the post-season, while Nugent-Hopkins gets the second assist. | EDM 2, ANA 0

17:58: Fowler hooks McDavid as he navigates towards the Ducks’ net. He gets called for hooking. Oilers with a two-man advantage now.

18:35: Ritchie runs Kris Russell behind the Oilers net and gets called for charging. Edmonton to the power play for the second time tonight.

19:45: OILERS SCORE! Klefbom returns to the game, firing a shot that is botched on its way to the net. The puck finds Draisaitl who quickly fires it on goal to squeak it past Gibson. It’s the German’s third goal and 11th point of the post-season. | EDM 1, ANA 0

20:00: The second period has begun.

FIRST PERIOD

00:00: The Oilers escape the first period tied 0-0 but lose Klefbom and Sekera. Their status remains unknown. Talbot makes 13 saves while his counterpart Gibson makes seven.

42.5: Danger averted as the Oilers kill their second penalty of the night.

3:03: Mark Letestu is stopped by John Gibson in the slot. Getzlaf and Jakob Silfverberg turn up on a 2-on-1 the other way and Talbot makes a big save on Getzlaf’s wrist shot. Benning is then called for slashing. Sekera and Klefbom have gone to the Oilers dressing room. Oil to the penalty kill once again.

6:40: Oilers kill the penalty. Nick Ritchie skates hard at Edmonton’s net and makes contact with Cam Talbot. He goes to the box for goaltender interference. Oilers to the power play now.

8:02: Oscar Klefbom blocks a Cam Fowler slap shot while killing the penalty.

8:44: Maroon gets his stick up on Josh Manson and gets called for high-sticking. Oilers to the penalty kill.

10:48: Getzlaf busts in on a partial breakaway but Milan Lucic disrupts him from behind. Getzlaf is awarded a penalty shot which he misses the net on.

11:53: It appears as though Benning is back on the Oilers bench. Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan deploys Draisaitl with McDavid and Patrick Maroon for a shift to keep Randy Carlyle’s matchup strategy guessing.

14:07: Connor McDavid steals the puck in front of the Ducks’ net but can’t convert. Andrej Sekera gets stapled along the boards by Ryan Getzlaf and he is also shaken up.

17:35: Nate Thompson hits Matt Benning behind the Oilers net and the defenceman is shaken up.

18:12: Antoine Vermette misses a wide open cage on the doorstep of the Oilers net.

20:00: Game 5 has begun.
