11:51: Andrej Sekera takes a holding penalty to put the Coyotes on the power play.
15:44: Edmonton maintaining most of the pressure but no shots on goal yet. They still sit at 24-17 for the Oilers.

8:20: GRAB THAT PUCK! Jujhar Khaira finds vacant space in front of the Coyotes’ net, gets fed a pass from Letestu and scores the first goal of his NHL career. | EDM 2, ARI 0
10:40: Smith doing what Smith does, stopping a flurry of Oilers opportunities. Shots are 18-9 Edmonton.
11:37: Eberle takes off on a breakaway after his penalty but gets robbed by the glove of Smith. Still 1-0 Edmonton.
13:50: Nothing on the man-advantage but right after Patrick Maroon finds Eberle in the Coyotes’ zone, who does a backhand-o-rama that goes off the pipe. He’s then shoved into Smith and gets two minutes for goaltender interference.
16:16: Eberle finds Nugent-Hopkins busting to the net, he gets a shot off in tight on Smith that is blocked with his paddle. Nugent-Hopkins then gets high-sticked by Martin Hanzal. Oilers off to the power play.
17:04: A Coyotes turnover finds its way to Andrej Sekera’s stick. He gets a shot off but it’s stopped by Smith.
20:00: The second period has begun.
FIRST PERIOD
00:00: The first period ends with the Oilers up one. Shots are 8-5 Edmonton.
1:46: The Coyotes have six players on the ice while setting up the power play. That doesn’t go unnoticed as a bench minor too many men penalty is called. four-on-four hockey.
2:51: Oilers shorthanded once again. Mark Letestu gets two for hooking.
4:25: Edmonton kills the penalty. Shots are 7-2 Oilers.
9:08: Drake Caggiula takes away a scoring opportunity by interfering with Peter Holland. Edmonton to the penalty kill.
12:32: All Oilers early in this one. Shots favour Edmonton 4-1.
16:26: OILERS OPEN THE SCORING! Nugent-Hopkins skates in from the right circle and wrists it far-side on Smith. EDM 1, ARI 0
17:52: Benoit Pouliot tests goaltender Mike Smith early by redirecting a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins shot-pass.
