Shore snipes the winner far side in the sixth round of the shootout and Edmonton heads into the postseason with the 3-2 victory without the services of McDavid and Draisaitl, who sat out of this one for rest. Mikko Koskinen makes an impressive 39 saves in the second of a back-to-back in a First Star performance.

19:29: KUUUULAK!!! The defender with a WICKED slapshot from the point 31 seconds into the period that beats Martin short side after Evander Kane provided the screen. His fifth of the season, with Kailer Yamamoto picking up the helper! | EDM 1, VAN 1

20:00: The third period has BEGUN!

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: Through 40, the Canucks maintain their 1-0 lead. The Oilers fought back in the second half of the second period with a few good chances but trail 30-18 in the shot department.

2:34: Shore can’t cash it in! Puljujarvi chips it for him to come in and try to put it wide on Martin, but the Vancouver netminder’s pad is tight to the left post to stop the chance.

6:39: McLeod centres the puck to Kane but he puts it wide!

12:36: Shots are 20-10 Canucks as we near the midway mark.

17:38: Archibald with a really nice reception of a two-line pass from Ceci to go in on a breakaway but he puts his shot wide of Spencer Martin.
