THIRD PERIOD

0:00: OILERS WIN!!!! Call it California streakin’ as the Oil finish the road trip a perfect three-for-three! Bouchard’s blast is the difference maker tonight in Los Angeles!

2:17: Kings kill off the Oilers advantage but not without a couple great chances by Draisaitl (twice), McDavid, and Nugent-Hopkins.

4:23: Oilers to the power-play! Derek Ryan’s strong drive to the net leads to a holding call on Sean Durzi.

5:27: The game is opening up as both teams keep flying back and forth down the ice. Edmonton nearly extends their lead on a two-on-one with a Hyman pass just missing the stick blade of Leon Draisaitl.

10:17: McDavid with a little bit of magic. As he skated behind the Kings goal, the captain throws a reverse pass out front to Puljajarvi whose quick shot is smothered by Quick.

13:00: Goal Kings. Viktor Arvidsson steps off the half wall and fires a low shot past Smith. The goal is a power-play goal and it’s the wingers 20th of the season. 

15:59: BOUCH BOMB!!! The Oilers defenceman tees up a shot from the blue-line which beats Quick low on the glove side! The goal is his 10th of the year and first in 31 games!

18:31: Smitty stops an early opportunity from Iafallo! Roy circles the net and finds the left winger out front but Smith is up to the task!

20:00: Puck dropped. Just 20-minutes to go!

SECOND PERIOD

0:00: Period over. Kings start out strong, but the Oilers battle back in the latter part of the frame. Goals scored by Trevor Moore and Warren Foegele. Shots are currently 21-18 in favour of the home side.

1:20: Oil almost get another! Quick has to sprawl as Nuge brings the puck across the face of goal, but he is unable to get the puck back on his forehand for the shot on the open goal.

4:34: FOEGS WITH THE GOAL!!!! Derek Ryan finds him on the two-on-one and Foegele quickly fires the puck past Quick! Oilers lead on his 10th of the season!

5:58: The trio of McDavid, Puljajarvi, and Kane put in a strong shift in the Kings defensive zone, but it’s all for naught as the puck is deflected out of play.

11:46: Smith continues his solid night! The vet holds on to the Jordan Spence wrister from the top of the right face-off circle which leads to a small scrum after the whistle.

13:43: WHAT A SEQUENCE BY MIKE SMITH! Saves on Kempe from the high slot, Moore on a partial break away, and others keep the game tied! Penalty is now killed, but the Kings had five shots on the man-advantage.

15:37: Kings to the power-play. Kane catches Durzi and is whistled for kneeing.

18:01: Goal LA Kings. Trevor Moore steals the puck and heads in on the break away on Smith. Moore slides it five-hole for his fifth short-handed goal of the season. 

18:01: Oilers to the power-play! Matt Roy is sent to the box after clipping Zach Hyman up high with his stick.

20:00: Back in action in LA!

FIRST PERIOD

0:00: Period over! Oilers head to the locker room after a solid opening frame on the road. McDavid with the only goal of the period, his 42nd which is a career high! Shots are currently 8-4 in favour of Edmonton.

6:53: Connor nearly gets another on a partial break! The captain caught the Kings on a change and fires a low shot off the right pad of Quick.

8:56: Kings get a dangerous shot in the slot by Quinton Byfield but it’s turned aside by the blocker of Mike Smith!

12:22: It’s the Oilers with the first chance on the Kings power-play as Yamamoto turns up ice and converts his initial blocked shot into a sharp wrister on Quick.

13:01: The Kings are heading to the power-play as Keith is whistled for tripping.

13:11: SO CLOSE! Evan Bouchard intercepts an Arvidsson dump in attempt, feeds the puck to Derek Ryan who finds Evander Kane cross crease for the high danger chance! Jonathan Quick turns back the clock with the full pad stretch to deny Kane.

16:43: CAPTAIN CONNOR WITH AN EARLY STRIKE!!! Evan Bouchard finds a streaking McDavid down the left  and he roofs it short side on Jonathan Quick!!! The goal is McDavid’s 42nd of the season!

20:00: GAME ON IN LA!!!

20:00: Teams are out on the ice for warm-ups!
