02:00: Two minutes remaining. Edmonton still down a pair. Talbot comes out for the empty net.
07:45: Maroon’s shot goes up into the netting.
08:48: McDavid has a great individual effort then draws a penalty later in the shift. Oilers headed to the power play.
12:13: Talbot’s pad keeps the puck out after a flurry of chances.
13:54: Benning headed to the box for roughing. Oilers to the PK.
17:15: Foligno puts the Jackets up 3-1… Oilers can’t clear, turnover in the high slot turns into a goal. | CBJ 3, EDM 1
20:00: 20 minutes to complete a comeback. The third period is underway.
SECOND PERIOD

00:35: Bobrovsky makes a big save as the Oilers came down on an odd-man rush.

07:40: Murray hammers a shot on net but Talbot gets a glove on it and it deflects into the netting.

09:35: Big cover-up at the post there by Talbot. Stops the puck with his skate blade and then reaches back to stop it.
11:07: Davidson gets called for holding. Oilers back to the PK.
12:12: FIGHT! Maroon and Dubinsky drop ’em! Maroon brings down Dubinsky.
12:28: Larsson’s shot just glances off the post.

FIRST PERIOD

01:00: Oilers had a tough time breaking the puck out of their zone with the Jackets swarming.
04:44: Some rough behind the Oilers net. Adam Larsson and Nick Foligno exchange some shoves before it’s broken up.

05:50: McDavid is a freak. He’s the fastest kid alive! McDavid slips past everybody but nobody is trailing close enough to receive his centring pass.
07:27: The top PP in the League strikes. The puck gets batted around and slips past Talbot. | CBJ 1, EDM 0
08:40: Puljujarvi heads to the box for holding. Oilers on the PK against the best PP in the League. Big test.
08:53: Talbot redirects a shot wide. Still 0-0 here.
09:58: Officer Bobrovsky is on the case. The Jackets netminder covers up a chance by the Oilers. Shots are tied 4-4.
15:28: After surviving some early pressure from the Jackets, the Oilers have logged some zone time in the other end.
16:40: Matt Hendricks shoots it and a trailing Mark Letestu almost gets to it.
20:00: We are underway! Playoff-like atmosphere in the building at puck drop.
