5:35: Foegele tries to stuff the puck in after it bounced off the end boards but Campbell dove across to deny the attempt. Shots are 6-4 EDM in the third.
13:27: Morgan Rielly zips a forehand one-timer upstairs to resupply the Leafs with the three-goal advantage. | TOR 4, EDM 1
14:34: On The Board! Colton Sceviour slams home a bouncing puck as it pinballed its way through skates and sticks in the Maple Leafs’ crease. That’s the Oilers forward’s first goal as an Oiler and second point this season. The lone helper goes to Zack Kassian. | TOR 3, EDM 1
14:45: Koskinen works his glove wonderfully with a great trapper save on Brett Seney from a prime location.
17:07: Ondrej Kase loses possession of the puck at the last second on a partial breakaway an d shortly after, Derek Ryan is denied by the right pad of Campbell after a glorious opportunity from the slot.
20:00: The third period begins with the Oilers up a man for 14 seconds.

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: Simmonds and Brodie pad the lead for the visitors despite the Leafs being out-shot 15-7 in the middle stanza. The Oilers will have 14 seconds of power-play time to work with to begin the third.
1:46: Holl brings Foegele down along the boards and skates to the sin bin for interference. The Orange & Blue get a chance to get on the board on the power play.
5:06: T.J. Brodie’s slapper from the point catches a tip in front and beats Koskine glove side as the Maple Leafs notch their third goal of the evening. | TOR 3, EDM 0
7:21: Devin Shore swipes at Justin Holl behind the Maple Leafs’ net and is tagged with a tripping minor. Edmonton goes back down a man.
11:13: Wayne Simmonds greases one in from the goalmouth to extend Toronto’s lead with his fourth of the season. | TOR 2, EDM 0
13:48: Nurse jukes and jives his way towards the goal-line then cuts to the middle for a weak attempt on Campbell but he’s there to catch the airborne puck. Shots are 5-0 Oilers in the second frame.
15:47: McDavid finds Puljujärvi at the top of the key for a one-timer but the Finn’s shot is blocked. The top line continues the cycle and Foegele gets a good look from the side of the net that Campbell squeezes for the whistle.

FIRST PERIOD
0.0: The Maple Leafs skate away with a one-goal lead after Matthews’ man-advantage marker. Shots are tied at 12 apiece through 20 minutes of play.
35.8: Matthews deposits a backdoor pass to strike first blood at Rogers Place. He’s up to 19 goals on the year. | TOR 1, EDM 0
43.5: Draisaitl heads to the box for getting tangled up with Travis Dermott. Toronto goes to the power play.
2:36: MIKKO! The keeper makes a great arm save on William Nylander in all alone to preserve the tie game.
5:59: Auston Mattews knives through the offensive zone then leaves the puck for Michael Bunting, who gets a backhander off that Koskinen kicks away with his right pad.
10:44: Kailer Yamamoto causes Muzzin to turn the puck over behind the net, leading to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins finding Draisaitl back door with a yawning cage but the German pumps a shot wide of the empty net.
14:13: Koskinen challenges Jake Muzzin’s wrister from the left and at the other side of the ice, goaltender Jack Campbell makes a butterfly stop on Darnell Nurse as neither side scores on the power play.
17:06: Zack Kassian brings down Morgan Rielly off a faceoff and now he’s called for holding. The teams skate at 4-on-4 for 43 seconds and then the Leafs jump out to an abbreviated man advantage.
18:23: The rivalry extends out to the arena bowl early as Oilers fans and Leafs fans trade team chants. John Tavares hauls down Leon Draisaitl and the Oilers are awarded the game’s first power play.
20:00: Game on! The Oilers do battle against the Maple Leafs without centre Ryan McLeod (COVID-19 Protocol), winger Zach Hyman (upper body) and Head Coach Dave Tippett (COVID-19 Precautions).
Duncan Keith steps back into the lineup on the back end after being sidelined with an upper-body injury, reuniting with partner Cody Ceci, while Warren Foegele mans the left side of Connor McDavid and Jesse Puljujärvi. Mikko Koskinen gets the ball in goal!
