0.0: OILERS WIN! Kemp & Rybinski score twice, Safin picks up a pair of helpers and Rodrigue shuts the door after allowing three goals as the Oilers Rookies erase a 3-1 deficit to win 4-3 in the Battle of Alberta. The teams meet again Monday in Calgary.
2:46: Lavoie kisses the iron with a quick shot from the left circle.
3:13: Bourgault takes a big hit from behind courtesy of Francis in the Flames corner and a large scrum ensues. The Oilers 2021 first-round pick gets some attention from the Oilers Medical Staff, eventually making his way to the bench. Oilers go to the power play.
4:13: OLLIE! Rodrigue absolutely ROBS Mathias Emilio Pettersen from up close to maintain the Oilers one-goal lead.
6:39: Pospisil is whistled for roughing. Oilers go back to the man advantage for an opportunity to put this one away.
8:45: Lavoie makes a dash towards the Flames cage through two defenders but loses the handle near the crease. Kemp falls behind the Oilers net later in the play and needs assistance to get to the bench.
12:10: Flames forward Wilson cross-checks Safin behind the play and that warrants a penalty. Edmonton gets a chance to add some insurance at 5-on-4.
13:41: Lavoie makes a great defensive effort to deflect a point shot up and over the glass.
15:54: THE PHIL SHOT! Kemp blasts a half-slapper from a tough angle to beat Wolf for the second time tonight! The Oilers Rookies take the lead for the first time. Bourgault and Rybinski get the helpers! | EDM 4, CGY 3
18:33: Kesselring goes low to Rybinski on the goal-line and he tries to stuff a backhander short side on Wolf to no avail.

0.0: The horn sounds but Michael Kesselring receives a cross-check from behind that he doesn’t like, so he turns around and exchanges pleasantries before returning to the bench. Rybinski pots his second of the night and Kemp gets the game-tying goal as the Battle of Alberta heads into the third deadlocked at 3-3.
2:01: The Oilers nullify Hamblin’s penalty and get the kill.
5:43: Lavoie and Devin Brosseau pepper Wofl with back-to-back looks from the top of the key but Wolf denies them. Hamblin is flagged for interference as the Flames go back to the powerplay.
8:17: PHIL THE THRILL! Defender Phil Kemp’s centring pass catches a bounce off a Flames player’s stick to get past Wolf. That’s the equalizer the Orange & Blue were looking for. | EDM 3, CGY 3
10:25: The Oilers Rookies are beginning to tilt the ice in their favour, keeping possession in the offensive zone and generating chances around the cage.
13:26: OH HENRY! Rybinski drops to his knee for a top-shelf one-timer from the slot to bring the Oilers within a goal once again. That’s two for the centreman tonight. | CGY 3, EDM 2
14:05: The Oilers Rookies get the kill on Englot’s penalty. At even strength, James Hamblin drove to the net and tried to go far side but couldn’t beat the left pad of Wolf. Lavoie later draws a holding penalty against Koletrane Wilson.
16:43: Tullio sends saucer pass across to Matvey Petrov but he whiffs on the shot. Drew Englot is whistled down for high-sticking. The Flames, who have one power-play goal already, go back to the man advantage.
20:00: The second period has begun! Dmitri Samorukov retreated to the Oilers Dressing Room in the first period and is questionable for the rest of the game. As a result, Edmonton’s seventh defenceman, Yanni Kaldis, will see more minutes.

1:45: Martin Pospisil gains position in front of Rodrigue and jams in a rebound to restore Calgary’s two-goal lead. This one comes on the powerplay. | CGY 3, EDM 1
2:14: The Oilers are called for a bench minor too many men infraction as Brady Burns heads to the box to serve it.
3:35: A BEAUTY! Safin finds Yanni Kaldis at the point and he feeds Henry Rybinski on the doorstep for the man-advantage marker! Edmonton cuts the deficit in half. | CGY 2, EDM 1
4:59: Rory Kerins takes a faceoff violation penalty and the Oilers Rookies get the game’s first power play.
5:06: Ostap Safin accepts a feed just within the offensive zone then curls and fires a heavy wrist shot that meets the shoulder of Wolf.
8:30: Jakob Pelletier gains a step wide and tries to flip a shot high past Rodrigue but he makes a chest save.
9:06: Oilers forward Tyler Tullio throws a check to cause a turnover, gaining possession of the puck then ripping a wrist shot from outside on Flames keeper Dustin Wolf.
15:10: Calgary’s Ryan Francis pounces on a loose puck following a 2-on-1 to put the visitors up by two. | CGY 2, EDM 0
15:31: The Flames put the pressure on, sending three consecutive one-timers at Rodrigue before getting him to crack on a rebound. Walker Duehr gets the goal. | CGY 1, EDM 0
