0.0: PLAY TARZAN BOY! The Oilers claw back from a three-goal first-period deficit to score four straight and beat the Canucks 4-3! Draisaitl dishes three assists, Kahun pots two goals and Smith stops 30 pucks en route to victory. These two teams will go back at it on Thursday.
3:23: Myers interferes with Yamamoto and takes a penalty. The Oilers get a chance to add some insurance on the power play.
6:35: ENZ⚽! Ennis plays some footy, getting a nice bounce off his skate for his second of the campaign! Jujhar Khaira and Adam Larsson get in on the goal with assists. The Oilers score four unanswered after going down 3-0! | EDM 4, VAN 3
7:12: SMITTY! The goaltender is locked in, stopping Brandon Sutter’s blast from the slot then Adam Gaudette’s on the rebound. He’s up to 22 saves.
8:43: The Canucks begin to push back, with Myers unloading a cannon that Smith stymies. Shots in the 3rd are even at five for both sides.
15:37: COMEBACK COMPLETE! The Oilers waste no time on the man advantage, bringing the puck down low for a tic-tac-toe play punctuated by a McDavid marker. He has 13 goals on the year. The assists go to Chiasson and Draisaitl. | EDM 3, VAN 3
15:46: Alex Edler brings Yamamoto down, warranting a tripping minor.
15:55: The Oilers administer a strong follow-up shift, causing the Canucks to defend for an extended period. As a result, Bouchard let a point shot go and Ennis nearly put back the rebound.

19:05: GERMAN CONNECTION! Draisaitl goes cross-ice to Kahun for a one-timer and he makes no mistake, scoring his second goal of the night and fourth of the season! Draisaitl and Yamamoto grab the helpers. Edmonton gets within one! |VAN 3, EDM 2

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: The Oilers buzz around the Canucks zone for most of the second period but don’t get rewarded. Shots were 10-9 EDM in the 2nd but sit at 20-19 VAN after 40.
1:51: Edmonton musters all sorts of pressure but can’t cash in on the man advantage, despite McDavid getting close by whistling the puck crossbar and out.
4:13: The Oilers thwart Vancouver’s power play. After the penalty expired, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins zipped in on the rush and pelted the iron with a heavy wrister. Roussel takes a roughing minor after the whistle, trying to mix it up with Puljujarvi.
7:13: The third consecutive penalty is called, this time Gaëtan Haas is the offender with a tripping penalty.
8:12: Antoine Roussel steals the puck shorthanded then attacks Smith all alone but can’t score far-side.
9:41: Smith shuts the door on the penalty kill, making three saves shorthanded. The Oilers will get a chance on the man advantage now as J.T. Miller takes a slashing infraction.
13:48: Tyler Ennis gets his stick up on Quinn Hughes. Ennis receives the game’s first penalty, a minor for high sticking.
16:04: Draisaitl whips a one-timer at Demko from a sharp angle but the guardian gets across for the stop.
18:39: Jesse Puljujarvi finds Connor McDavid with some space and the Oilers Captain tries to slip a shot 5-hole on Demko but can’t get it to go.
20:00: The second period has begun!
FIRST PERIOD
0.0: A four-goal first period comes to a close with the Oilers trailing by a pair. Smith has eight saves on 11 shots.
1:17: KAHUN! Dominik Kahun places a shot on Demko from the right circle and it trickles past the goal-line. Kahun nets his third of the season on the play with the assists going to linemates Leon Draisaitl and Tyson Barrie. | VAN 3, EDM 1
4:43: Elias Pettersson sweeps at the puck from in front and it travels glove side on Smith. The Oilers enter a three-goal hole in the first. | VAN 3, EDM 0
4:57: Brock Boeser loads, drags then shoots but Smith is there for the stop from in-tight. Shots are 7-6 VAN. Bouchard has four of the Oilers six shots on goal.
7:29: Alex Chiasson creeps out from behind the goal-line then lets the puck fly on a far-side attempt. His shot goes wide.
11:54: Tyler Myers corrals the puck off a faceoff in the Oilers zone and fires a slap shot that catches a deflection to fool Smith. The Canucks get out to a two-goal lead. | VAN 2, EDM 0
12:57: Bouchard walks in and delivers a wrist shot from point-blank at Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko but the keeper gets his trapper on the puck to keep it out.
18:54: Bo Horvat throws the puck on net from the left corner and it sneaks its way through Smith as the Canucks take the early lead off an unsuspecting shot. | VAN 1, EDM 0
20:00: Tonight’s game has begun! Looks like Patrick Russell will jump into the lineup upfront as James Neal and Kyle Turris are unavailable. Caleb Jones also gets in for the first time since Jan. 31, versus Ottawa. He’ll line up next to Evan Bouchard. Mike Smith protects the blue paint!
