2:03: Demelo gets his stick up high on Puljujarvi to give Edmonton a man advantage late.
3:05: YAMMER TIME! Yamamoto gets his stick down and flips McDavid’s pass over Brossoit’s pad to reply for the Oilers! He now has three goals on the year! | EDM 3, WPG 3
4:53: Wheeler tries to go across to Connor but his pass bounces off Kris Russell and in. Jets gain the go-ahead goal with under five minutes remaining. | WPG 3, EDM 2
5:53: Darnell Nurse heads to the box for tripping. Oilers go down shorthanded for the second time.
6:06: Ehlers is left all alone in the slot and he rips a shot 5-hole on Koskinen to knot the game up. | EDM 2, WPG 2
8:56: Nugent-Hopkins taps a one-timer on from the key but Brossoit bounces it out. Oilers hanging on as the period begins to wane.
12:53: The Jets push back early in the third, storming out with five shots on goal to Edmonton’s two.
18:08: Ehlers gains a step on Yamamoto then releases a shot on Koskinen but is denied. Yamamoto later accepts a pass from Draisaitl on a 2-on-1 but he is foiled by Brossoit.
20:00: The third period has begun!

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: Edmonton puts the Jets on their heels in the middle frame, out-shooting the home team 19-6 to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period.
2:01: The Oilers will go to the penalty kill for the first time tonight as they get whistled for too many men. Neal will serve the minor. Winnipeg will be without the League’s leading scorer Kyle Connor, who took an Ethan Bear shot up high and went to the dressing room for medical attention.
5:42: GRAB THAT PUCK! Turris SNIPES Brossoit short side to give the Oilers the lead after almost a full period of relentless forechecking. The Orange & Blue’s secondary scoring comes through as Kassian – on his 30th birthday – and James Neal pick up the helpers. | EDM 2, WPG 1
8:04: It’s all Oilers in the middle stanza as shots are 13-2 for the visitors more than halfway through the period.
11:38: The Oilers cause all sorts of havoc in front of Brossoit but can’t light the lamp. The club is 0-for-2 on the power play tonight but produce five shots on goal on the latest opportunity.
14:15: McDavid ducks and darts past Derek Forbort, forcing the defender to take a holding call. Edmonton goes back to the man advantage.
17:39: Edmonton’s new-look top line keeps the pressure coming as the puck moves from Puljujarvi to McDavid to Nugent-Hopkins for a quick attempt from the slot.
19:39: OILERS EQUALIZER! Puljujarvi jams the puck on net and Nugent-Hopkins puts back the loose change for his third of the season! McDavid and Puljujarvi get the assists. This one comes just after the Oilers power play expired.| EDM 1, WPG 1
20:00: The second period has begun.
FIRST PERIOD
0.0: Josh Morrissey blocks a heavy Leon Draisaitl one-timer on the power play to keep the Oilers at bay. The Jets take a 1-0 lead into the 2nd frame but the Oilers will have 15 seconds of man-advantage time on the clock to begin.
1:45: Blake Wheeler holds McDavid, warranting a penalty. Edmonton gets the game’s first power play.
3:54: Dylan Demelo rips it from the blueline and Koskinen eats it in the crest.
6:32: Nikolaj Ehlers puts a wrist shot on and Andrew Copp hacks at the rebound, causing the puck to float over Koskinen and in. The Oilers keeper lobbies to the refs saying there was goaltender interference from Copp’s blade, which disrupted Koskinen’s ability to catch the puck. Oilers Head coach Dave Tippett challenges the goal and gets it right, as it is called back.
9:19: Adam Lowry deposits a net-front feed from Mathieu Perreault to open the scoring. | WPG 1, EDM 0
10:41: McDavid finds Puljujarvi on an odd-man rush but the Finn’s attempt is stopped by a lunging Brossoit.
13:12: McDavid goes cross-crease to Nugent-Hopkins but he’s handcuffed by the pass and can’t get a good stick on the puck. Shots are 5-5 already.
19:20: Mikko Koskinen’s glove is tested immediately with a point-blank shot from Andrew Copp.
20:00: Tonight’s game has begun! Jesse Puljujarvi gets lifted to the top line with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins while birthday boy Zack Kassian settles in with Kyle Turris and Tyler Ennis. Former Oilers backup Laurent Brossoit gets the call in goal for Winnipeg.
