55.4: The Oilers scored off the rush late in the opening frame to kick off the scoring. The play started with a nice no-look pass from Draisaitl to Benoit Pouliot at the boards from the far blueline. The pair then rushed up ice and worked the give-and-go with Pouliot finding Draisaitl barreling down the left wing. Dubnyk made the first stop but the Oilers centre pounced on his own rebound and put the puck into a tiny opening between Dubnyk’s skate and the post for the goal. | EDM 1, MIN 0

5:00: With five minutes to go in the first, shots on goal were 8-4 for the Oilers.

8:04: The penalty was killed off with the Wild only having one shot on target.

10:44: Minnesota pinned the Oilers in their zone for close to 90 seconds, eventually forcing Edmonton to take a penalty. Zack Kassian was sent off for tripping to give the Wild the first power play of the night.

12:56: Dubnyk made a nice glove grab past the game’s seven-minute mark after some quick passing between Milan Lucic, Drake Caggiula and Connor McDavid ended in a quick McDavid wrist shot at the top of the crease.
