1:29: With 89 seconds to play, Michael Raffl took a stretch pass from Jakub Voracek and drove to the net. He went glove side on Oilers starting goaltender Jonas Gustavsson to give Philadelphia the 6-5 lead. | PHI 6, EDM 5

7:49: Philadelphia tied the game once again with less than eight minutes to play in the third. Giroux swiped at the puck in front of the net and it found its way across the line to make it 5-5. | EDM 5, PHI 5

8:50: Shots on goal were 27-24 for the Oilers with just under nine minutes to go.

13:29: The dangerous Flyers power play kept the Flyers at arm’s length. Voracek ripped a one timer from the right point which ricocheted off the shin pads of the Oilers defender in front and just inside the post. | EDM 5, PHI 4

14:18: Kris Russell was sent to the box, giving the Flyers a power play.

14:48: With 18 seconds to go in that power play, Jordan Eberle made a no-look pass behind the back to Oscar Klefbom at the right point. Klefbom flicked a wrist shot through sticks and legs that somehow found its way past Flyers starting goaltender Steve Mason and in. | EDM 5, PHI 3

16:30: Taylor Leier received two minutes for slashing, giving the Oilers a chance to net another on the power play.

16:53: Benoit Pouliot cradled a pass from Leon Draisaitl and whipped it low blocker side to put the Oilers back in the lead. | EDM 4, PHI 3

40.2: Ivan Provorov hooked Drake Caggiula as the Oilers drove to the net late in the second, setting up a power play chance for the visitors.

3:45: Moments after the Simmonds penalty expired, Letestu fed a pinching Andrej Sekera at the left circle and he one-timed it past Mason to once again make it a tie game. | EDM 3, PHI 3

4:30: A slashing penalty to Nugent-Hopkins ended that man advantage.

5:50: Simmonds received a roughing penalty to give the Oilers a chance to get some momentum back and perhaps pull back even in the scoresheet.

6:36: Less than a minute later, Philadelphia struck again to tie it up. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare took advantage of a turnover and subsequent feed from MacDonald. He then teed up a blast past Gustavsson. | EDM 2, PHI 2

7:29: Eight seconds after Hendricks got out of the box, the Flyers struck to make it a 2-1 game. Mark Streit teed up a blast from the right point that beat Gustavsson. | EDM 2, PHI 1

9:37: Matt Hendricks received a penalty for holding to put the Flyers PP back on the ice.

12:31: Seven-and-a-half minutes into the second period, shots were even at 11-11.

15:25: Leon Draisaitl picked up a rebound and dished the puck in the slot over to McDavid at the right circle. McDavid made no mistake, rifling the puck into the open cage to extend Edmonton’s lead to 2-0. | EDM 2, PHI 0

16:12: Andrew MacDonald received two minutes for slashing 3:48 into the middle frame, putting the Oilers on their first power play of the night.
