1:44: Leon Draisaitl takes a Sekera pass at the doorstep and puts it through the wickets of Gibson to get the win for Edmonton. | EDM 3, ANA 2

SECOND PERIOD
0.0: Shots after 40 minutes were 22-19 for the Oilers.
2:38: Antoine Vermette came in on a two-on-one and Matt Benning played it perfectly, giving him no lane to pass. Talbot made the stop.
6:25: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins rifled a wrist shot from the right circle past Gibson one second after the power play expired to put the Oilers back in the lead. | EDM 2, ANA 1
8:26: Josh Manson gets sent off for two minutes, giving the Oilers power play another shot.
10:27: Five seconds off the draw following the goal, Lucic dropped the gloves with Jared Boll. Neither combatant really got the edge in the fight but there was a lot of heavy punches thrown.
10:32: Only 10 seconds into the man advantage, Ryan Kesler scooped up the puck at the side of the net and wrapped it in to get Anaheim on even terms. | EDM 1, ANA 1
10:42: Adam Larsson received two minutes for hooking to put Anaheim on the power play for the first time on the night.
14:43: With five seconds left in the man advantage, the Oilers converted to take the lead. Patrick Maroon spotted Drake Caggiula at the left circle and he made no mistake, wristing the puck past Ducks goaltender John Gibson for his first career NHL goal. | EDM 1, ANA 0
16:38: The first penalty of the game went to Anaheim as Josh Manson got sent off for hooking.
19:50: Oilers get two chances right off the hop, first Lucic takes a shot from the left circle and then McDavid on the rebound.
20:00: The second period has started.
FIRST PERIOD
0.0: Shots after one period were 8-7 for the Ducks.
4:00: Not a lot of whistles in this opening frame with shots 8-6 Anaheim and the game hitting the 16-minute mark of period one at 8:32 p.m. MST, only 22 minutes after puck drop.
6:00: Oilers netminder Cam Talbot came up with a big stop as Jakob Silfverberg spun and fired from the hashmarks in the slot but Talbot managed to get his body in front of it and turn the shot away.
8:10: Anaheim starts to carry the play past the midway point of the opening frame. Shots on goal are now even at 5-5.
14:00: Six minutes into the game, shots on goal were 5-1 for the Oilers. The best chance came on a two-on-one with McDavid and Lucic but McDavid couldn’t get the pass across to Lucic for a shot attempt.
20:00: Tonight’s game is now underway.
