11:24: Rodrigue sticks out a pad to deny Ruzicka in tight and keep the Oilers within a pair.

13:11: Both teams struggling to generate any momentum in the second, with the Flames still ahead 2-0 with a 17-12 shot advantage.

17:45: Day gets crunched from behind by Martin Pospisil, and the Oilers are back to the power play.

20:00: Oilers Rookies back on the ice for the middle frame down 2-0 to their provincial rivals.

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: Flames put up a two-spot in the opening 10 minutes and lead 2-0 after a period. Shots 13-9 for the home side.

2:22: Rodrigue settling in with a trio of good saves in the past five minutes after being beaten twice in the opening 10 minutes.

6:30: Beau Starrett taken down on a partial break and the Oilers get their first opportunity with the power play.

8:38: Benson goes in on the loose puck in the crease and gets a facewash and two minutes for his actions, with none going the other way.
