13:58: Colby Cave gets within the slot and whips a wrist shot at Rinne but he gets a piece of the puck with his glove.
16:35: Cody McLeod cuts through the Oilers defence and wills a backhander at Koskinen, who made the save.
20:00: The third period has begun.
SECOND PERIOD
0.0: Two goals in the span of 1:24 by the Preds push the club ahead 2-1 to begin the third period. Shots are 22-18 Nashville.
3:01: Koskinen flashes the leather emphatically on Forsberg’s 2-on-1 shot.

4:43: Preds continue to apply pressure, with Filip Forsberg ripping the iron with a one-timer.

12:36: Oilers get a few chances on Rinne but can’t get the insurance marker. Sam Gagner missed the net after a nice setup by Alex Chiasson. Chiasson later had a long look from the slot but his shot was redirected out of play.
17:25: Matt Donovan is called for hooking. Oilers get their first power play of the night.
20:00: The second period is under way. The Oilers are still on the penalty kill for over a minute.
FIRST PERIOD
0.0: Draisaitl scores shorthanded and Koskinen makes several key stops, as the Oilers take their 1-0 lead into the second period.
41.6: Edmonton gets hemmed in the own zone, forcing Koskinen to make a few spectacular saves. Andrej Sekera gets called for tripping.
4:45: Tobias Rieder deflects a puck but from the top of the crease but Rinne pushes out to make the save. The Oilers are out-shooting the Preds 8-5 with under five left in the first.
8:43: Draisaitl finds Nurse off the rush but his wrist shot is stopped by Rinne.
14:28: The Preds ding a pair of posts on their man advantage then Mikko Koskinen turns aside Ryan Johansen’s wrister from the slot.
17:52: DRAISAITL STAYS HOT! Leon Draisaitl intercepts a feed just before the Oilers blueline for a breakaway then slips a backhander 5-hole on Pekka Rinne. That’s Draisaitl’s 37th of the season. Oilers get on the board shorthanded. | EDM 1, NSH 0
