THIRD PERIOD
0.0: That’ll do it. A disappointing result sees the Oilers lose 3-1 to the LA Kings on Wednesday night. Double-digit point streaks for McDavid and Draisaitl end as the Oilers fall to 9-8-0 heading into Saturday’s tough test against the Vegas Golden Knights.
53.0: Moore gets his hat-trick with an empty-netter in the last minute. | LAK 3, EDM 1
6:35: The Oilers have only been able to muster five shots this period.
13:21: Petersen has to flash across fast to deny a Draisaitl backhand.
20:00: The third period is ON!!! Oilers down a goal.
SECOND PERIOD
Zach Hyman visibly frustrated about the Edler hit on McDavid during his interview with @GenePrincipe
“He did to me a couple of years ago. Exact same play. I was out for two months & you know, just did it to Connor. Same thing. It’s an extremely dangerous play.” #Oilers

0.0: The Kings take their lead back late in that period to lead 2-1 through 40 minutes.
2:48: Right as the penalty expires, Trevor Moore takes the bounce off the boards behind the net and puts it past Skinner. | LAK 2, EDM 1
4:51: McDavid is the guilty party for the second time tonight, high-sticking Danault for two minutes.
7:13: WE LOVE YOU ZACH HYMAN!!! The Dynamic Duo forced the Kigns into a turnover with some hard hits in the corners, leading to the puck popping out in front and Hyman back-handing his eighth goal of the season home to tie the game! | EDM 1, LAK 1
9:42: Things get evened up with McDavid delivering a crosscheck to the back of Edler. We’ll play 4-on-4 for 54 seconds.
10:48: A great keep-in at the blueline by Kulak leads to Phillip Danault taking a holding penalty on the Stony Plain, AB product!
12:21: Tyson Barrie with a sick feed from out wide in front to Devin Shore, who gets good lumber to the chance but is thwarted by the outward-lunging Cal Petersen.
15:09: Hyman gets called for hooking. Kings head to their first powerplay.
16:14: Hyman gets in on a breakaway but can’t corral the puck!
16:50: McDavid is caught at the blueline by the trailing leg of Alexander Edler and Darnell Nurse takes exception by dropping the gloves. A penalty was coming to the Kings, but that’ll probably even things up and we’ll play 5-on-5.
20:00: The second period has begun!
Good news for Bouchard was he had 10 shot attempts in first period.
Bad news only two were on net. One missed the net. And seven were blocked.

FIRST PERIOD
0.0: A later hit on Tyson Barrie from Kevin Fiala ends the period. The Oilers trail by one through 20 minutes.
1:23: ZACH ATTACK! He buries Drew Doughty with a big check in the LA corner.

6:00: So far it’s been more or less one-way traffic towards the Oilers zone minus that Connor Chance. 12-3 the Kings lead in shots.
10:19: What a save off the line by Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson! McDavid poked it past Cal Petersen and it was destined to go in the net, if not for a heroic clearance from the LA skater.
15:37: Puck bounces out to Trevor Moore and he wires ones past Stuart Skinner. | LAK 1, EDM 0
