12:48: Oilers battling. Hyman protects the puck well and spins a shot on Quick who covers and stops play.

13:12: SO CLOSE! Kulak blasts a shot from the point which is tipped by Yamamoto. Quick gets most of it, but the puck sits in the crease and Draisaitl is unable to jam it in.

15:21: Oilers score a goal, but the play is blown dead for goaltender interference.

18:10: OILERS STRIKE EARLY AGAIN!!!! After Kane is denied on the two-on-one, Kulak blasts a shot towards Quick which is expertly tipped by Evander for his sixth goal of the series! EDM 2, LAK 0

0:00: Period over! Oilers lead 1-0 on the McDavid goal, outshooting Los Angeles 14-12!

1:27: THE POST SAVES THE KINGS! Archibald goes for the wraparound but it goes far post and out!

6:21: Connor comes close again! The captain spins off the boards and drives the net hard, but is denied by Quick.

11:39: Kings powerplay. After the Oilers narrowly get a second, Yamamoto is whistled for goaltender interference while driving the net with the puck.

15:58: Big save by Smitty! A bouncing puck finds its way to the front of the net and is chopped at by Sean Durzi, but the vet comes up with the stop!

18:19: OILERS GOAL!!!! CONNOR BREAKS THE ICE! Mcdavid streaks in down the left wing and tucks a wraparound past Quick to get the games first goal! EDM 1, LAK 0 .
