5:41: NUUUUUUUGE! The Oilers put up a second straight six spot on the Kings as Nugent-Hopkins’ stick explodes on the shot! EDM 6, LAK 2

8:08: Hyman goes in on the two-on-one with Yamamoto and wrists a shot off Peterson’s blocker to be denied the hat trick goal.

11:59: SO CLOSE FOR CONNOR!! The Captain steals the puck and goes in all alone, but he rings the shot off the cross bar!!

17:36: Smith with a big stop to start the frame. Matt Roy is able to walk in and snap a shot which the Oilers netminder gobbles up.

20:00: Twenty to go! Time to finish this one off!

SECOND PERIOD

0:40: Kings back to the powerplay. Barrie to the box for tripping.

2:31: Kings goal. Smith stretches to make the save on the Kempe one-timer, but Danault digs in the rebound. EDM 5, LAK 2

2:39: Derek Ryan sent to the box for interference. A late Kings powerplay to end the period.

9:53: Kings answer back with a Kopitar goal. The vet walks out in front, protecting the puck and roofs a backhand on Smitty. EDM 5, LAK 1

12:18: OMG AGAIN!!! ZACH ATTACK!!! Hyman fights off his man, wins a puck battle and snipes it on Quick! That goal chases Jonathan from the Kings goal for Cal Peterson! EDM 4, LAK 0

13:33: MAKE IT THREE!!! Evander Kane is a menace in front of Quick and backhands in a rebound for his THIRD of the series! EDM 3, LAK 0

16:37: Zach Hyman cuts to the middle and fires a shot on Quick. The Kings goaltender freezes the puck just over three minutes into the second.

3:23: WHAT A SAVE BY SMITTY! Kopitar robbed on the point-blank shot on the Kings powerplay!!

6:21: After a couple big Smitty saves in the Oilers end, Edmonton counters back with an Evander Kane snipe that Quick flashes the leather on.

11:19: Bouch to the box. The Oilers defenceman gets whistled for interference. Time for a PK!

14:14: OILERS POWERPLAY!! A big opportunity early in the game!!

16:10: OILERS GOAL!!! LEON, LEON, LEON!! McDavid finds Draisaitl on the two-on-one and he buries it behind Quick to open the scoring!! EDM 1, LAK 0

17:20: HIGH FLYING START! Oilers pressure in the Kings end, but the LA gets a good chance on Mike Smith with a Sean Durzi toe drag and shot. Smitty is up to the task though!

20:00: GAME ON!!! Puck dropped at Crypto.com Arena!
