THIRD PERIOD
0.0: GAME OVER!!! The Oilers complete the perfect five-game homestand in fine fashion, winning their fifth straight with a comeback effort in the third period to win 6-3 over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon at Rogers Place. Edmonton begins a back-to-back road trip in Colorado on Monday, which is also the day of the NHL’s Trade Deadline.
1:26: MCDAVID EMPTY-NETTER SEALS IT!!!
7:08: HYMAN DOUBLES THE LEAD!!! Draisaitl’s pass out front strikes his skate and goes in to give the Oilers a two-goal lead with seven to play after trailing 3-2 in the first few minutes of the final frame. Big turn-around for the Oilers as they chase two huge points. | EDM 5, NJD 3
7:57: EVANDER AGAIN!!! A great powerplay for the Oilers ends the right way when Kane reacts to a shot off the pass off a Devils defender that fell right on his stick for him to backhand into the empty cage. | EDM 4, NJD 3
9:28: The Oilers will get their first powerplay at a crucial point of the game. Can they cash in and take the lead?
10:56: BARRIE WITH A BEAUTY!!! The Oilers blueliner picks a perfect shot over the left shoulder of Gillies, who was beaten by Barrie despite hugging the left post after Kris Russell passed off to his D partner. Tie game on Barrie’s fifth goal of the season and second in back-to-back games. | EDM 3, NJD 3
16:46: Bratt sets up another, chipping one back towards goal off a breakaway for Nico Hischier to backhand past a sliding Koskinen. Tough start to this frame. | NJD 3, EDM 2
19:34: Flukey bounce off the back boards before a flukey shot from Jesper Bratt ties the game early in the third. | EDM 2, NJD 2
20:00: The final frame has BEGUN!!!
SECOND PERIOD
0.0: A big block by Nurse right before the buzzer. After 40 minutes, the Oilers lead 2-1 on Kane’s reviewed goal.
2:12: EVANDER WRAPS IT IN!!! It initially looked like nothing more than just a close call when Kane came around the Devils net and tried to wrap it in, but the buzzer soon sounded to indicate that the refs needed to look at it. After review, the puck clearly crossed the line. That’s goal #11 on the year for #91. | EDM 2, NJD 1
4:53: Kassian gets two minutes for hick-sticking after coming through with a check. Three Devils powerplays to none for the Oilers so far today.
6:36: Vesey gets by the last Oilers defender and cuts in for a good opportunity, but his shot goes wide.
11:09: Leon with another incredible dangle to get around the defender, but he can’t slide it back post on Gillies.

9:00: Koskinen stamps out another Devils 2-on-1 after Jack Hughes fed it across to Dawson Mercer, who couldn’t get it over the Finn’s glove.
13:08: After an incredible dangle and through-the-legs effort on net from Draisaitl, Hyman is called for tripping. First PP goes to the Devils.
15:10: Devils work a nice passing play to send Jesper Bratt in to tie the game on a breakaway. Good set-up and a nice finish from Bratt. | EDM 1, NJD 1
17:58: Koskinen makes his first stop on a Devils 2-on-1, pushing off the right post with his skate to get his chest up quickly to stop Jesper Bratt.
18:49: DRAI WITH THE EARLY GOAL!!! Devils netminder Jon Gillies thought he had it squeezed under his blocker, but the puck was loose behind the New Jersey net for Jesse Puljujarvi to pick up and pass off to the German, who kicked the feed from his skate to his stick and deposited his 41st goal of the season before the opposing goalie could react in time. | EDM 1, NJD 0
