0.0: Two Sharks goals courtesy of Letunov – who notched his first career goal in his second career NHL game – and Noesen to take a 4-2 score into the final 20 of play.

2:53: The Oilers carry the play at 4-on-4 but can’t put anything past Dell.

5:23: Klefbom is hauled down by the stick of Patrick Marleau. Marleau gets two for hooking but Klefbom is later called for embellishment. The two sides will play 4-on-4.

7:29: Stefan Noesen gets one to go from a tight angle. The Sharks, now, have the two-goal lead. | SJ 4, EDM 2

3:27: Oscar Klefbom’s stick rides up on a Sharks player to warrant a double minor penalty.

4:37: McDavid catches Dell by surprise but nothing comes from the Oilers man advantage.

9:33: KOSSU! The Finnish keeper makes save after save shorthanded to help his Oilers escape Nurse’s minor unscathed.

11:45: The Sharks bite back with some pressure of their own but can’t quantify it with a goal.  During the pressure, Koskinen lost his stick and Nurse tried to throw the goaltender his own, which is a penalty. Nurse will serve two minutes for throwing the stick.

14:40: THE SPEED DEMON! McDavid taps speed burst to blow by everyone then goes roof – like he did in Toronto against the Maple Leafs – on Dell! That’s his 30th goal of the year and 80th point! | EDM 2, SJ 0

20:00: Game On! Hometown boy Tyler Benson will make his National Hockey League debut in front of family and friends. He skated on the fourth line with Gaëtan Haas and Alex Chiasson but is in the starting lineup alongside Connor McDavid and Josh Archibald! William Lagesson draws in for Caleb Jones, meanwhile, on the back end.
