15:52: Klefbom emerges from the Oilers dressing room and hits the ice for a regular shift with Larsson. The defender blocked a shot with his hand in the second period.
17:38: Smith stands up to Hinostroza off the rush. The keeper has 19 saves tonight.
20:00: The third period has begun with no Oscar Klefbom on the Oilers bench.

0.0: Five goals get scored in the middle frame – three from the home side and two by the visitors. Edmonton takes a 6-2 lead into the final 20 of play.
1:43: Sheahan peddles up ice to force a partial break but it gets taken away from him due to an Oliver Ekman-Larsson hook. Ekman-Larsson will head to the sin bin for tripping.
2:35: Larsson gets two for boarding.
3:54: CAP’N 97! McDavid tips home Archibald’s perfect dish to tally his second of the game and 27th of the season. Archibald now has two points and Neal gets a helper himself! | EDM 6, ARI 2
4:27: Kyle Capobianco collides with Archibald and goes down, causing a freeze in play.
9:25: Stepan goes off for hooking James Neal now. Edmonton gets an opportunity to get one back on the PP.
10:47: Christian Dvorak deposits a rebound in front. The Coyotes cut the deficit to three. | EDM 5, ARI 2
11:41: McDavid is called for interference. Edmonton will have to kill another penalty.
13:00: Smith keeps his paddle down to foil Derek Stepan’s net-front whack.

19:00: SHARP ANGLE SNIPE! Connor McDavid sells the pass but goes with the shot, picking the short side corner on Raanta for his 26th of the season. Draisaitl – appearing in game No. 400 of his career – and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins grab the apples. | EDM 4, ARI 0

FIRST PERIOD
0.0: The Oilers put up a three-spot on the Arizona Coyotes in the opening 20. The goals come courtesy of Archibald (shorthanded), Gagner and Yamamoto. Smith makes seven stops in net.
16.6: The ‘Yotes get called late for too many men. The Oilers go back to the power play, failing to score on their previous attempt.
3:54: KAILER INSTINCT! Kailer Yamamoto jams away at some garbage in front, eventually having Raanta knock the puck into his own net with the knob of his stick. Yamamoto now has three goals and six points on the season. Leon Draisaitl gets a helper for his 74th point of the campaign. | EDM 3, ARI 0
5:58: SECONDARY SCORING! Sheahan dishes a nifty feed to Gagner on the doorstep and he puts it past Raanta from a tight angle. Gagner now has two goals on the year and Sheahan has two assists tonight for a total of nine points this season. | EDM 2, ARI 0
8:23: Phil Kessel gets two for tripping. Oilers go to the power play.
12:22: Mike Smith – riding a four-game win streak – gloves down Vinnie Hinostroza’s wrister from the wing and gets the whistle.
16:04: ARCHIE SHORTIE! Josh Archibald accepts a board clear in the neutral zone, stays onside, then goes 5-hole on Raanta to open the scoring on the PK! He now has six goals on the year while Riley Sheahan gets a helper and Kris Russell gets a late assist as well. | EDM 1, ARI 0
16:30: Sam Gagner hears the whistle for slashing. Edmonton is shorthanded for the first time tonight.
18:30: Ethan Bear keeps the play alive with a blueline blast that Antti Raanta puts aside with his blocker for the first shot and save of the match.
