11:34: Yamamoto is whistled for interference. Big kill upcoming for the Oilers.
12:01: Draisaitl goes up top for a clapper from Bear but Rinne gets the stop and covers it up.
16:11: Yakov Trenin hammers a one-timer but Smith sticks out his chest for the big save.
16:57: Draisaitl busts in on a breakaway and tries to go blocker side on Rinne but the ‘tender gets a piece with his shoulder.

1:47: James Neal gets two minutes for slashing to nullify Edmonton’s power play.
2:08: Mikael Granlund clips Gaëtan Haas, warranting a high-sticking penalty. Edmonton goes to the power play.
3:07: Forsberg tries to get cute on Smith once again, going between his legs for a shot on goal but the Oilers goaltender swallows the puck.
8:50: Archibald nearly deposits his second of the period but misses the cage while Rinne is down and out.
10:51: ARCHIE! The winger – replacing Zack Kassian on the top line – puts back McDavid’s feed off the rush to give the Oilers the lead! McDavid picks up his second point of the evening and Archibald tallies his fifth of the year. Klefbom grabs the secondary helper. | EDM 3, NSH 2
11:57: McDavid ALMOST beats Rinne with a wraparound but the keeper stretches for the save.
13:24: Viktor Arvidsson barrels in and unloads a heavy slap shot at Smith, who makes the save with his mask causing it to pop off his noggin. The whistle goes and Smith gets a round of applause from Oil Country!
14:00: Ethan Bear throws the puck through traffic but Rinne is there for the stop.
15:48: Sam Gagner’s slapper is blocked but Alex Chiasson scoops up the loose puck and zings it high and wide from point-blank.
17:52: Josh Archibald tries to go across for McDavid on a 2-on-1 but the pass gets disrupted.

6:59: Nurse is called for tripping. Nashville gets the game’s first power play.
