5:44: KNOCK KNOCK! Bear scores AGAIN, this time firing a slap shot that gets deflected by a Jets player and goes in. | EDM 5, WPG 3

6:09: shots are 21-20 Oilers as they look to close this one out.

10:22: JURCO AGAIN! The forward drives to the net then lifts the puck over Hellebuyck’s shoulder far side to give the Oilers a 4-3 lead. That’s his second goal of the night and third point as he scores on the power play. | EDM 4, WPG 3

10:43: McDavid gets his feet taken out from under him, giving the Oilers their fourth power play of the night as Bitetto goes off.

12:59: Patrick Russell throws a high one at Hellebuyck and the netminder covers it up to avoid any danger.

14:34: WAKE THE BEAR! Draisaitl throws a pass to Anton Burdasov crashing to the net and Bear pounces home the rebound. | EDM 3, WPG 3

17:00: Bear sauces the puck to Colby Cave who gets a piece but not enough to beat Hellebuyck.

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: Bear zips a pass up the boards to McDavid and he drives to the net, nearly beating Hellebuyck. The Oilers, however, exit the frame down 3-2. Shots are 18-11 WPG, who are also dominating the dot at 65 percent.

5:42: Archibald releases a high wrister that pops out and Haas hunts for the rebound but can’t swat it out of the air.

10:55: Bear has returned to the ice.

11:55: Matt Benning loses the puck behind the Oilers net and Gabriel Bourque slams it home as it moves out front of the net. | WPG 3, EDM 2

13:10: Bear takes a shot off his foot and leaves the Oilers bench.

15:26: Tucker Poolman puts back a rebound as a mess of bodies look for the puck in the crease. | EDM 2, WPG 2

18:57: JUST LIKE THAT! Draisaitl kicks the puck to Jurco on the goal-line, who goes to Neal in the slot and he sends it to McDavid for an open net. Oilers take the lead on the power play. | EDM 2, WPG 1

19:29: Perreault takes an early high-sticking penalty against Bear, giving the Oilers their third power play of the evening.

20:00: The second period has begun.

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: Suess gives Winnipeg the lead but Jurco replies to knot it up. Shots are 4-4 after 20.

1:31: Gaëtan Haas swipes at Bear’s rebound but his attempt goes wide. Oilers are 0-for-2 on the PP tonight so far.

4:20: Ethan Bear looks for Neal in front but the winger is disrupted by Jack Roslovic, who goes off for interference. Oilers back on the power play.

4:51: JURCO! Mathieu Perreault blows a tire behind the Jets’ net, allowing James Neal to dish the puck to Tomas Jurco in the slot for an easy one-timer. | EDM 1, WPG 1

7:45: Smith gloves down Scheifele’s quick whip from the right circle.

9:53: C.J. Suess whacks the puck out of mid-air to beat Mike Smith just as Archibald’s minor expires. Jets get on the board first. | WPG 1, EDM 0

11:58: The Oilers don’t convert on the man advantage. Josh Archibald will now go off for tripping Anthony Bitetto.

16:03: Joakim Nygard is tripped by Mark Scheifele. The Jets forward goes off for two minutes, giving the Oilers an early power play.

17:35: Connor McDavid tries to slip one under Connor Hellebuyck but is stopped then the Oilers Captain backhands the rebound but hits the side of the net.

20:00: Leon Draisaitl kicks the puck back off the draw to signal the start of the game!
